This will be our first time coming to my reunion. There are people I have remembered since Jr high (KJH) and HS whome I've always wondered if I could let know the impression they left on me. My husband Hap went to BCC and is a year ahead of me. We met at Frostburg State in Aug 72 after I graduated from WJ. Our adventures have continued 50 years. He will get to see the people: you, who influenced my youth and journey. He plays hammered dulcimer. I accompany on guitar. In our retirement years we have had a furniture refurbish/thrift boutique to raise funding for the opioid crisis ministry we support. We love meeting people and encouraging them however we can. I had the privilege of jail ministry to women for 17 yrs, til COVID. Grandparenting is a gift!! We have lived a blessed life raising our family plus extras, in the woods in the log home we built in '78. Love camping/traveling across country, exploring, and in 2019 to China (many inlaws there, thanks to our David and RuiJuan). Happy built an art/intaglio printing/classes studio in our basement in '79 which allowed us to have an art business for many years. We were hedgehog breeders 7 years, heh heh .yes. Now hoping to sell our home and move to Charlotte to grandparent the 4.

I loved Ms Dipoala's art classes . It was she who helped me have the confidence to go forward with my art journey and major. I loved "Prune Pit Hall" where we gathered 2 years, every day, to eat and play guitars, sing, encourage each other thru tough stuff.This was truly my "family" which I had needed for years (since it was just me and my dad who had no idea what to do with me). Before the phenomenon of Prune Pit, I had been so shy that I ate my lunch in the girls bathroom.The crowds in cafeterias always felt intimidating especially being a new transfer student coming to WJ in fall of 70 having also left home. But then I found family...or they found me. In a family a person is secure and can blossom into who they really are. So our whole life has been about reaching out to others who may be searching or scarred. All our kids have picked up this same passion to make a difference: on numerous missions trips in the US and abroad, and then in some of their vocations. It started in the Prune Pit Hall where Dr. Redick brought us a gift of our own trash can when we dedicated that little basement fire exit hallway to be a place where people could come to find and be family.
