William was born on September 1, 1953 and passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2016. William was a resident of Salem, West Virginia at the time of his passing.
According to his Facebook page his passing was due to complications of COPD. Also said he eas a resident of Bridgeport, WV.
Bill was a great trumpet player and one funny fellow. We were in WJ band together and the Soul Solution. My most memorable band job was the time we went downtown to play for a private party in the dark smoke-filled basement of a bar down in D.C. We were 14 yrs. old and not allowed in the bar so we had to enter from the back door. By the way, Bill also gave me the nickname “Nipper” and other associated phrases that I won’t mention here :-)
